Tianjin Aerospace Industry Overview

Tianjin has established itself as China's premier aerospace manufacturing hub outside of the state-owned AVIC and COMAC industrial system. Companies in the area provide aluminum and titanium alloy processing, superalloy forging, aerospace-grade composite materials manufacturing, and specialized coatings including thermal barrier and anti-corrosion treatments for aircraft and engine components.

Tianjin's aerospace ecosystem benefits from strong government support and dedicated industrial zones. The Tianjin Airport Economic Area (TAEA) offers specialized infrastructure including bonded logistics, heavy-load road networks, and facilities designed for oversized aerospace components. The zone has attracted over 200 aerospace enterprises, including manufacturers of aircraft components, engines, avionics, and aerospace materials.
